Today, we added 3 new chinchillas to our little chin family.
Lilly, an awesome 2 year old brown velvet.
Luigi, a 2 month old standard.
And Gina, a standard who is a fur chewer with an unknown history. She was a resue. My hubby just fell in love with her.
They join Nero and Bianca, a dark ebony and a [...]

My brother and I decided to hike at Black Mountain here in Crossville last week. It was a beautiful Spring day, a great day for hiking. Our first stop was an overlook. While it remains a little brown around that area, it is still very beautiful!
We left the overlook and proceeded down the trail. But, [...]

I couldn’t sleep last night. So, I found myself cleaning cages at midnight. Nero had already been out for his playtime and finished up with a dust bath. You can see above that he is still sparkly from the dust. This is his “please can I come out and play” face.
When he saw I wasn’t [...]

Yesterday, I cleaned the chinchilla cages and took advantage of a couple photo op’s. Don’t let them fool you. While they are seen in one frame together, they have in no way bonded. Nero ran into Bianca’s cage for a brief visit and off he went.
By the way, has anyone seen Dr Doolittle Tail to [...]

As I wrote about yesterday, I have been put to the task of making a hymnal angel for a friend. My last attempt was a bit drab, lacking color. So, today I found the exact ribbon I wanted to line the wings. It is a beautiful golden orange that fades down to a blue – [...]

You may remember me telling you about the craft party I had with my ex co-workers. While they were here, I showed them some of my other ideas. Yesterday, I got a call from one of those ex co-workers to order a book angel as a gift for one of her friends. What an honor!
So, today I [...]

Today I am bummed! I am sitting at my same weight for the 3rd day in a row! Per protocol, I am supposed to have a “steak day” or an “apple day.” But, I decided to wait just one more day to see what happens for tomorrow’s weigh in. My friend told me that sometimes when [...]
