Originally from Texas, we now call our home the beautiful Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. I love to hike and explore the many waterfalls and parks in this area. I am a wife and mother of three boys. I have been a nurse for over 17 years, an OB/GYN/NSY nurse for most of that time. However, I recently retired from those ranks and have been pursuing other interests! We have a spoiled chihuahua named Foxy! I love to be crafty, even if some of my work looks very elementary school-ish! And even though I am overweight, I am constantly on the quest for new information re: weight loss, health and exercise. Maybe that’s the nurse in me.
I have always considered blogging, but never thought anyone would care to read what I have to say. However, I decided to give it a try anyway. I welcome any comments, questions or suggestions!

When deciding to open an online shop, we held a contest to “name our new venture.” Our family, friends and the general public submitted names and then voted on those names. Thanks to Kim for her winning suggestion! And thanks to everyone who took the time to come up with all the creative and unique shop names, submitted them to me and then voted!
